$10 Million HALF OF A YELLOW SUN finally Secures Nigerian Release Date
For those in Nigeria who have been following the developments surrounding the film adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie’sHalf of A Yellow Sunwhich reportedly cost about $10 Million to make, you should mark your calendars and save the date as the movie now has a release date for Nigerian cinemas – April 12th.
Half of a Yellow Sun follows Olanna (Newton) and Kainene (Rose), glamorous twins from a wealthy Nigerian family. Returning to a privileged city life in newly independent 1960s Nigeria after their expensive English education, Olanna shocks her family by going to live with her lover in the dusty university town of Nsukka, and Kainene turns out to be a successful businesswoman when she takes over the family interests — and surprises herself when she falls in love with Richard (Mawle), an English writer.
The Nigerian release date for the movie comes after the movie has been released in Australia on the 27th of March and in the United Kingdom on the 11th of April. The exact release date of the movie in the United States is yet to be announced.
D’banj To Sue UK Newspaper For Defamation Of Character
Singer D’baj reportedly has plans to sue British tabloidDaily Mail, for deformation of character.
The tabloid had allegedly referred to D’banj as a “womaniser” over his relationship with Kenya Moore, a word which didn’t go down with theFinallycrooner.
He reportedly toldEncomium,“It is a rumour. The story has no substance. I’m even about going to sue UK daily mail for the defamation of character. I’m discussing with my legal team. They didn’t hear from me. ”
“Everything they wrote is totally wrong. They defined Koko master wrongly. I think they wanted to talk about Kenya Moore, who was a former Miss America, but they didn’t get their facts right. Everything they wrote was false .They are going to hear from my legal team, soon.”

Rita Dominic Plays The Lead Girl In Darey’s new video
Darey has decided to let his fans go behind the scenes of the making of the“Special Fever” music video. Darey released “Special Fever” last year, a unique R&B/Highlife music that describes the art of love. The beach-themed video was directed by Clarence Peters and features Rita Dominic as the lead female character.
The video also features cameos from DJ Sose, Muna, Mo Eazy, Zaina, Lamboginny, JJC and a host of others.

Actor Nick Cannon has revealed the names of some female celebrities he’s had sex with, and unsurprisingly, Kim Kardashian is on it.
In an interview with Power 106′s Big Boy, he was asked to name five famous women he’d slept with, and he said, “That’s easy. OK, Mariah Carey, Christina Milian, Nicole Scherzinger, Selita Ebanks, oh, Kim Kardashian.”
“Are you kidding me this is L.A.? That’s the whole purpose of it, you have sex with actresses, singers, models,” theDrumlineactor added.
He also threw shade at Kim, telling host Big Boy that people may not have remembered because “there have been a lot after him'

Jaywon Requests Buying Out Contract With Kennis Music

“Iledare Oluwajuwonlo James aka Jaywon has written a letter via his lawyer requesting for his contract with Kennis Music to be terminated.
JAYWON wrote, in the same letter, his readiness and willingness to pay off all costs therein accordingly.
Meanwhile, Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria IBANMEMBERS and all broadcasters on all platforms are hereby advised to Un-list the works (Either single performances or and collaborations) of Iledare Oluwajuwonlo James aka Jaywon from their respective rotational play lists until his (Jaywon) request to buy over his contract is fully completed to avoid litigation.
